We offer two forms of initial contact for a first orientation:
As part of a video or telephone preliminary call (approx. 15-20 minutes), we can first clarify in person whether your matter falls within the scope of our firm's activities. We do not provide legal advice; the meeting serves exclusively to provide orientation and to coordinate the next steps.
Organizational questions can be clarified. These include, for example, technical queries regarding the use of our online appointment booking or coordination of appointments if a desired time slot is not available.
Questions about the procedure for the initial consultation, which is subject to a fee, and the documents that should be provided in advance can also be discussed.
The second option is the initial legal consultation with the owner of the law firm (Price: €190.00 net / €226.10 gross). If you have legal expense insurance, reimbursement may be available depending on your plan. During this video or phone consultation, you will receive an initial legal assessment of your specific case.
In order to make effective use of the consultation time, you have the option of providing information about your case in the online form for account/account blocking and for tax law matters in the questionnaire of the “Acuity“ appointment booking tool.
This means that our work does not begin only at the start of the consultation, but already with the analysis of your information. This is not the norm in the reality of legal advice, but it is in line with our in-house standard.
The background to this is that you should receive a well-founded assessment after the initial consultation, on the basis of which you can decide on how to proceed and whether to engage our law firm.

In which languages is the advice provided?
Advice is provided in German or English. If an appointment is booked via the German-language version of the website, the consultation will generally be in German. If the appointment is booked via the English-language version of the website, we assume that the consultation will be held in English.
If you have special language requirements, please contact us in advance.
Can I also make an appointment by telephone or e-mail?
Appointments for initial contact can only be booked via the online booking system on this website. Available appointments are displayed there directly and the information required for the consultation is requested. Subsequently, if you are already a client of the law firm, appointments can simply be arranged by e-mail or telephone. If you have any questions about the process or the appointment booking itself, you are of course welcome to call us or contact us by e-mail.
Does the law firm also offer personal appointments on site?
Advice is generally provided online by video or telephone appointment. Personal appointments on site are possible in special cases and by prior arrangement.
Can I cancel or postpone a booked initial consultation with a lawyer?
Yes, appointments can be made until before the appointment at the initial consultationand until before the appointment at the initial consultation in the can be canceled or postponed free of charge. You will find the corresponding link in the appointment confirmation. Cancellations at short notice or no-shows may incur a partial charge for preparatory services already rendered. What are the costs of a mandate?
Depending on the type and scope of the matter, remuneration can be paid in different ways. In particular, billing in accordance with the German Lawyers' Fees Act (RVG), remuneration on an hourly basis or an individually agreed flat rate can be considered. Which form of remuneration is used in a specific case depends in particular on the scope and difficulty of the matter and the value of the matter. As soon as these factors are foreseeable during the initial consultation or an initial examination of the facts of the case, we will inform you transparently about the costs likely to be incurred before you engage us.
Will my legal expenses insurance cover the costs?
Whether a legal expenses insurance policy covers the costs depends on the respective insurance contract. Many policies do not expressly cover disputes in connection with crypto assets or account blocking or contain exclusions. In principle, we bill the client. They can then submit the invoice to their legal expenses insurance for reimbursement.
Does the law firm support me in communicating with the legal expenses insurance?
On request, we can take over all communication with the legal expenses insurance company. This includes, in particular, checking the insurance conditions, obtaining cover notes for out-of-court and, if necessary, in-court representation as well as further correspondence with the insurer. A separate flat rate of €320 net is charged for this service. The lump sum does not include legal action against the legal expenses insurance itself (e.g. legal action for the granting of cover if this is wrongly refused), as this is a separate matter under fee law.
